Why people choose to get on the lake with Derwent Water Marina
IDYLLIC LOCATION - ONE OF THE QUIETEST LAKES!
We believe Derwent Water is not only one of the prettiest lakes in the Lake District (offering stunning views of Skiddaw, Cat Bells and Borrowdale). But also that the best way to see this wonderful landscape, is from the lake. It is also one of the quieter, lakes so you may have a chance of spotting otters or seeing (the) Ospreys or Kingfishers. There are also a lot of sheltered coves and islands, making this a fantastic lake to explore by boat.
MODERN QUALITY FACILITIES & EQUIPMENT
We regularly update our fleet of boats, and aim to have a range of craft to suit all abilities and ages. We regularly maintain all our equipment to ensure it is in good working order. We have high quality stand up paddle boards from the renowned RED Paddle Company, canoes by Mad River and a wide range of kayaks and a new fleet of Fusion sail boats.
PROFESSIONAL, FRIENDLY & KNOWLEDGEABLE STAFF
All our staff are keen to make sure that your time on the water with us is a great experience. We are happy to discuss the options available with you to ensure that you end up with the activity that suits you best. Whether it is selecting the right boat to hire or the best course to help you improve your skills, giving you a few top tips to improve your paddling or simply just telling you what’s good to see and do in the area.
